Urban Airship snaps up former Snapfish exec as Chief Product Officer

The C-level suite at Urban Airship just added another seat. They announced today that Troy Anderson has joined Urban Airship in the role of Chief Product Officer.

As the former chief of products and applications at Snapfish, Anderson brings 13 years of experience in driving product strategy and leading agile teams for global companies delivering products and services from startup to massive scale. While at Snapfish, Anderson was responsible for the consumer experience of more than 120 million registered users and directed all consumer-facing products and applications powering Snapfish.com, Walgreens Photo and Walmart Photo. Prior to his role at Snapfish, Troy was president and CEO of KnowledgePlex, a Fannie Mae Foundation subsidiary, where he led a cross-national engineering and product team. He is a co-founder of Valiant Hero, a language engine startup, and a co-founder of the Coquille Economic Development Corporation–one of the largest employers in southwest Oregon.

“With more companies realizing that mobile offers the ability to be wherever their customers are, it’s essential that Urban Airship continues to drive forward the market’s innovation,” said Scott Kveton, co-founder and CEO, Urban Airship. “As we’ve grown from supporting developers to being a key enabler of brands’ mobile initiatives worldwide, adding a CPO was a natural extension to the executive team. Troy’s wealth of knowledge and experience in leading product teams will prove to be essential ingredients for the success of our company and our customers’ businesses.”
