# Apple of Apple's eye: Panic wins an Apple Design Award for Coda 2

There are a number of amazing companies in Portland that [keep an incredibly low profile](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/06/30/oregon-portland-17-projects-silicon-forest-cred-deserve/ "They’re in Oregon? 17+ projects that don’t get the Silicon Forest cred they deserve"). Perhaps none more so than [Panic](http://panic.com "Panic"), which has been quietly developing amazing Apple OS X and iOS apps with a incredibly talented crew of folks for years. But every once in a while, they get some of that richly deserved recognition.

Such was the case this week, when [Panic received an Apple Design Award for their work on Coda 2](https://developer.apple.com/wwdc/events/awards "WWDC 2013 Apple Design Awards").
