{Future} Talks: New Relic launches a new series of Portland tech talks designed to inspire

While there are a ton of good meet ups in town, there is always room for a few more. Especially when they have the potential to pull in thought provoking speakers from outside of town—or those hidden gems in town about whom we’re not aware. Such is the case with a new line of talks sponsored by New Relic entitled {Future} Talks.

The first session of the ongoing series will be held this Monday, November 4, at New Relic, beginning at 6PM. The speaker will be Sridhar Solur, Director of Mobility and Cloud Services at Hewlett-Packard and a mentor at 500 Startups. The event is free and open to the public.

The topic? “Beyond the Confluence of Mobile, Social, Cloud and Analytics.”

Few revolutionary technologies have created new value pools, displaced incumbents, changed lives, liquefied industries, and made a lasting economic impact. We are fortunate to be witnessing a perfect storm of Mobile, Social, Cloud and Analytic’s creating this tectonic shift. In this session we will explore the rise of this connected ecosystem and look beyond into the world of Contextual computing, Wearables and the Internet of Things.

Future {Future} Talks will feature speakers like Jessica McKellar (Python Software Foundation, 2013 O’Reilly Open Source Award winner) and Amber Case (Director at Esri). And New Relic has a whole list of other awesome potential speakers they’re chasing.
