Want the opportunity to pitch Founder Institute? Now you can, from the comfort of your Web browser

Sometimes one of the most difficult parts of practicing your startup pitch is getting actual critical feedback on that pitch. I mean something more than “That’s great!” or “That sucks, dude.” Especially in Portland where we have been known to be a tad more than effervescent with praise—and not as directed with our criticism. And by “we,” I mean me.

Anywho… first, TiE Pearl Incubator has recently started another Pitch Club to help. And now, I’ve got another interesting opportunity for you. To get real feedback on your startup pitch.

So if you think you’ve got what it takes, we’d love to get you feedback from a Silicon Valley startup expert. Right from the comfort of your own Web browser. Just join us this Friday, November 8th from 12:15 – 1pm PT for the Silicon Florist Founder Hotseat, brought to you by Founder Institute and their new Portland chapter. And featuring Adeo Ressi, the founder of Founder Institute.

Adeo Ressi is the Founder & CEO of the Founder Institute, the world’s largest startup accelerator and entrepreneur training program. In addition, Adeo started TheFunded.com, an exclusive community for entrepreneurs to rate and review venture capitalists. The Institute is the eighth start-up that Adeo has founded or built, four of which were acquired and three of which are still operating. Adeo is regarded as a worldwide expert on early-stage startups and venture capital, with numerous appearances in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Wired Magazine, NBC News, ABC News, BusinessWeek, Fortune, Forbes, Time Magazine, Entrepreneur, CNN, and more.

What’s the hot seat entail? Well, it’s a pitch. Out there in front of everyone. That could result in some amazing exposure and some really good feedback. Right here.

The Founder Hotseat is a live, interactive webinar designed to give aspiring entrepreneurs blunt and honest feedback on their startup ideas. During this exclusive online event, viewers can pitch their startup ideas to Adeo Ressi, Founder & CEO of the Founder Institute, to receive analysis and feedback. The best pitches will even be invited on screen, to pitch Adeo live, via webcam simulcast.

What’s more, the best pitch during the event—as judged by Adeo himself—will receive the inaugural “Silicon Florist Pitch Fellowship,” enabling the company to join Portland Founder Institute’s 4-month entrepreneur training and company launch program, free of charge ($900 value). And even if you don’t pitch, there’s the opportunity to hear what FI is seeking and still time for you to get your Founder Institute application submitted, too.

To participate in the event, fill out the Silicon Florist Founder Hotseat form. And then come back here to tune into the event on Friday.
