# Get your map on: MapCamp Hackathon 2014, January 10-12

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times: Portland loves its geolocation. And when it comes to camps? There’s no town more campy. So what if you were to take the mapping and combine it with the camping? That would be pure Portland magic. Like [MapCamp Hackathon 2014](http://www.eventbrite.com/e/mapcamp-hackathon-2014-tickets-8488387997 "MapCamp Hackathon 2014"). Which takes place this weekend, January 10-12.

What’s the MapCamp Hackathon, you ask?

> A two-day series of presentations and a hackathon at ISITE Design that rewards teams and individuals that make the best use of Portland city data. We’ll be providing food, drink, entertainment and some other surprises.

The event promises to be an interesting gathering of developers and data visualization types, alike. All hacking on awesome geolocation stuff.
