# Inaugural EmberConf to be held in Portland, March 25-26

With [Tilde moving its operations to Portland](http://siliconflorist.com/2013/07/08/ember-ready-happy-tom-dale-moving-portland/ "Use Ember? Get ready to be happy"), it should come as no surprise that we’re seeing a lot more [Ember.js](http://emberjs.com/ "Ember.js") activity around here. There’s a [new Ember Portland meet up](http://www.meetup.com/Ember-PDX/ "Ember PDX"). And now there’s [EmberConf](http://emberconf.com/ "EmberConf"), a first year conference dedicated to gathering the Ember faithful in Portland, March 25-26.

> Join us for the first ever EmberConf, in the fabulous Portland, OR! We’ll be gathering ~350 of the top Ember developers from around the world and spending two full days deep-diving into the fundamentals, along with the latest and greatest. We’re expecting the entire Core Team to attend, and a number of us will be giving talks, too. See you there!

And if you’ve got something to say, the [call for EmberConf talks](https://tilde.wufoo.com/forms/emberconf-2014-call-for-papers/ "Call for EmberConf talks") is open until January 30.

> Proposals will be accepted from January 1st through January 30th at midnight PDT. We’ll be accepting some talks on a rolling basis, so your odds are indeed better if you submit earlier, but we’ll definitely leave slots open to the very end.

> Talks will be 30 minutes total; if you’d like time to take questions, plan for a 25 minute talk followed by questions.

Opportunities for sponsorship are still available.

For more information or to submit your talk, visit [EmberConf](http://emberconf.com/ "EmberConf").
