# Former ReadWrite and TechCrunch writer Alex Williams founds new blog, The New Stack

I always love when people launch new blogs. I really love it when they launch new tech blogs. And I especially love it when they launch tech blogs taking on a big topic. So I was really happy to hear that Portland’s [Alex Williams](http://twitter.com/alexwilliams "Alex Williams")—who has had stints as a writer at both ReadWrite and TechCrunch—has launched a new blog focused how technology is changing business. It’s called [The New Stack](http://thenewstack.io/ "The New Stack").

> The New Stack is about the services and infrastructures that developers build and the cultural impact that has on the way we work and live. We analyze how the new stack affects enterprise and enterprise startups, the various networks of developer communities, the DevOps movement and the business models that encompass this new world. The site has news and analysis; feature stories about the new stacks people are building; data research; interviews and a hands-on section that dives into the technical, business and community aspects that go with building this new stack world.

> I call this a beta for a few reasons. We have some fucntionality to add and smooth out which you will see roll out over the next few weeks. There are a few posts we need to add such as a profile of the Go programming language. We are also working on our data research and expect it to be ready in the next few weeks.
