# Bring a little startup swagger to Pedalpalooza: Startup Swag Ride

[Pedalpalooza](http://www.shift2bikes.org/cal/viewpp2014.php "Pedalpalooza") is almost upon us. And we know Portland loves bikes. But Portland also loves startups. So it only makes sense that Portland would love startups on bikes. That’s why the [Startup Swag Ride taking place Saturday, June 14](https://www.facebook.com/events/732670913451667 "Startup Swag Ride"), during Pedalpalooza sounds like an awesome Portlandy idea.

> Close your MacBook, throw on your favorite startup swag and join your fellow hackers, hustlers, hipsters, entrepreneurs and wantrepreneurs for a leisurely ride around PDX’s hot startup scene. Then stick around for drinks at Velo Cult Bike Shop.

> Don’t have any swag? There’s a good chance a few folks will be handing out some t-shirts, stickers, etc.

> We’re meeting on the East Bank Esplanade by the Vera Katz statue. Coding, testing, building, pushing, and/or bug-hunting prohibited during the ride.

I’m totally expecting the [Athletepath](http://athletepath.com "Athletepath") crew to show up in full kits.
