So, what's your story? Oregon Story Board accepting applications for digital storytelling accelerator

Portland is home to a number of creative industries: agencies, tech startups, makers, artists, musicians… all of whom have growing and supportive communities of collaborators. One specific group of creatives has continued to gather significant momentum around here, as of late: filmmakers, journalists, video game developers, digital agencies… They’re all digital storytellers. And now they have an accelerator designed to help them succeed.

Oregon Story Board—an accelerator focused on helping digital storytellers found companies, create jobs, and build sustainable businesses—is now accepting applications for the first class of its accelerator program.

Granted, I’m a little biased. But as one of the cofounders of this project, I’m incredibly happy to see it gaining traction and becoming an entity that will support our quickly growing digital storytelling community—hopefully resulting in many interesting stories in years to come.

And I’m really looking forward to figuring out we can take what we’ve learned with PIE and what we’ve discovered working with amazing startups and figuring out ways to apply this learning to a whole new industry. And a whole bunch of interesting companies. All while learning new ways to work with promising entrepreneurs and founders. For a more awesome startup scene all around.

If you’re interested in being part of the story, please apply to Oregon Story Board. Applications are due July 15, 2014. The application period has been extended until July 28, 2014.
