# Doubling down: Existing Urban Airship investors True Ventures, Foundry Group, and August Capital participate in $12.1 million Series D

It was nearly a $20 million day for investments in Portland startups. Earlier in the day, [Lytics announced a $7 million Series A](http://siliconflorist.com/2014/10/22/funding-impressive-lytics-announcement-today/ "Funding is only one of the impressive things about the Lytics announcement today") led by Comcast Ventures. And soon thereafter, [Urban Airship announced that they had closed a $12 million Series D](http://urbanairship.com/news-and-events/press-releases/urban-airship-announces-12-million-in-funding-from-primary-investors "Urban Airship Announces $12 Million in Funding From Primary Insider Investors"), with participation by existing investors [True Ventures](http://trueventures.com "True Ventures"), [Foundry Group](http://foundrygroup.com "Foundry Group"), and [August Capital](http://www.augustcap.com/ "August Capital").

“Having just come on board Urban Airship as CEO, I’m pleased to see the board and our primary investors continue to invest in our future growth. We are dedicated to helping businesses mobilize their most important relationships,” said Brett Caine, CEO and president, Urban Airship. “This additional funding validates our focus on offering unparalleled mobile expertise and technology to help companies maximize what are their biggest and most strategic growth opportunities today.”

This brings UA’s current funding to $58.7 million.
