# Portland based House Special shares an awesome little internal animation project called "A Tale of Motion & Inertia"

If you’ve been to the movies recently, you might have managed to catch a little bit of magic from Portland’s [House Special](http://www.housespecial.com/ "House Special"), the animation studio that recently spun out from Portland’s [LAIKA](http://www.laika.com/ "LAIKA")—makers of Coraline, Paranorman, and The Boxtrolls. If you haven’t caught it yet, you might want to take a minute to watch what [The Atlantic calls “the best 71 second animation you’ll watch today.”](http://www.theatlantic.com/video/index/383057/the-best-71-second-animation-youll-watch-today/ "The Best 71 second animation you'll watch today")

Of course if you watch it on The Atlantic, you’ll need more than 71 seconds because you’ll have to sit through a preroll ad that you can’t fast forward or skip.

I know you’re busy digging out from your holiday. So here it is. Enjoy.
