# TechStars curious? Get your questions answered in person by TechStars Seattle and Portland area TechStars alums

While Portland is host to a number of awesome accelerators, our startups have also done their fair share of succeeding in accelerator programs outside of Portland. Most notably Y Combinator and TechStars. And when the timing is right, these leading accelerator programs can propel startups further faster than they ever thought possible. That’s why I’m psyched to have [TechStars Seattle swinging by Portland for a little Q&A](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/want-more-for-your-startup-hear-how-local-portland-startups-made-it-tickets-16128892953 "Want more for your startup? As luck would have it, all of these companies have both experience from Portland’s accelerator scene as well as TechStars experience. [Glider](https://glider.com/ "Glider") went through [Portland Seed Fund](http://portlandseedfund.com "Portland Seed Fund") and sat at [PIE](http://piepdx.com "PIE") before going through [TechStars Seattle](http://www.techstars.com/program/locations/seattle/ "TechStars Seattle"). [Stand In](http://standin.io/ "Stand In") went through PIE before going to TechStars Seattle. And [Cloudability](http://cloudability.com "Cloudability") went through both PIE and PSF before attending [TechStars Cloud](http://www.techstars.com/program/locations/cloud/ "TechStars Cloud"). Long story short, each of these folks will have a well rounded view and informed opinions on the benefits of your closest accelerator options. And [Chris DeVore](http://twitter.com/crashdev "Chris DeVore"), the managing director for TechStars Seattle, will be on hand, too.
