# Hear from the people who write the docs you should be reading: Write the Docs 2015 speakers announced

I may not be able to write. But I know good documentation when I see it. And I can always use a little more learning on how to be better at documenting things. If you’re in the same boat, you’re not going to want to miss this year’s [Write the Docs 2015](http://www.writethedocs.org/ "Write the Docs") event in Portland, this May. Because it’s [bringing some awesome folks to the stage](http://www.writethedocs.org/conf/na/2015/speakers/ "Write the Docs 2015 speakers").

> Join over 300 people for a three-day event to explore the art and science of documentation. You can look forward to learning more about documentation systems, tech writing theory, information delivery, and more. Past talks have also covered such diverse topics as typography, empathy, and Wabi-sabi.

> Write the Docs brings everyone who writes the docs together in the same room: Writers, Developers, Support Folks. We all have things to learn from each other, and there’s no better way than sitting together and talking.

Write the Docs will be held May 17-19, 2015, at the Crystal Ballroom. Tickets start at $75. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

For more information or to register, visit [Write the Docs](http://www.writethedocs.org/ "Write the Docs").

*\[Full disclosure: Write the Docs is run by Read the Docs, a PIE alum. I am the cofounder and general manager of PIE. This, however, does not make this event any less awesome. You should go.\]*
