# And so it begins: PDX TechCrawl, TechFestNW, Talent Fair, PIGSquad Game Jam, and TFNW Interactive

It’s going to be a busy week here in the Portland startup scene. What’s that? You didn’t know. Oh. Well this is a bit awkward. [I thought I told you](http://siliconflorist.com/2015/08/05/crawl-watch-pdx-techcrawl-2015-techfestnw-2015-rapidly-approaching/ "You have to crawl before you can watch: PDX TechCrawl 2015 and TechFestNW 2015 are rapidly approaching"). Well, no worries. If you haven’t had a chance to jump onboard, there’s still time. Well, barely. But I have confidence in you. I’m sure you can make it happen. What’s in store? A whole heck of a lot.

### [PDX TechCrawl 2015](http://www.meetup.com/Innovation-in-Motion/events/223841329/ "PDX TechCrawl 2015")

Now in its fourth year, the annual TechCrawl has become a mainstay for TechFestNW. And with more than 1,000 people registered, it’s sure to be a great opportunity to meet a ton of people in the Portland startup scene. Starting tonight, August 19, the PDX TechCrawl will wend its way through tech companies, startups, accelerators, coworking spaces, and agencies before coming to an end at On Deck for the GeekWire After Party.

### [TechFestNW 2015](http://techfestnw.com/ "TechFestNW 2015")

The tech sister to the massive MusicFestNW enters its fourth year, with speakers on a variety of topics. Starting on Thursday, August 20, and running through Friday, August 21, they’re wedging a ton of content into this years event with [more than 20 speakers taking the stage](http://techfestnw.com/schedule/ "TFNW 2015 Schedule") over the two days of the event. Plus a party, an indie game arcade, and some venture capital speed dating, to boot. TFNW will be held at Revolution Hall in the newly refurbished Washington High School. Tickets are available for individual days or you can attend the whole thing for $99.

### [TFNW Talent Fair](http://techfestnw.com/talent-fair/ "TFNW Talent Fair")

Looking for a new gig? TFNW has gathered an assortment of Portland companies and organizations as part of the TFNW Talent Fair. The floor will be open throughout TechFestNW and is free to attendees. If you’re interested in skipping the speakers and meeting with the companies, a Talent Fair only pass is available for $10.

### [PIGSquad After Party and Game Jam](http://pigsquad.com/events/techfest-nw-afterparty-with-pigsquad "TFNW After Party with PIGSquad")

Portland’s independent game developers will be well represented this year. In addition to the [OGO Arcade Lounge](http://techfestnw.com/networking/arcade-lounge/ "OGO Arcade Lounge") available throughout TFNW, [PIGSquad](http://pigsquad.com/ "PIGSquad") (the Portland Indie Gamer Squad) will be [hosting a Game Jam](http://pigsquad.com/events/techfest-nw-afterparty-with-pigsquad "TFNW After Party with PIGSquad") at the close of the event. The event is free and open to the public. It begins Friday, August 21, at 7:00PM.

### [TFNW Interactive](http://techfestnw.com/networking/tfnw-interactive/ "TFNW Interactive")

If listening to speakers makes you want to do something, you’re in luck. This year, TechFestNW has launched a new offering: [TFNW Interactive](http://techfestnw.com/networking/tfnw-interactive/ "TFNW Interactive"). It’s a series of workshops and hands on events that enable you to do way more than just sit and listen. The event will be held at CENTRL Office. This event requires a separate registration from TFNW. [Tickets are $30](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/techfestnw-interactive-workshops-tickets-18100912316 "TFNW Interactive tickets") and space is limited.

For more information on all of the events, visit [TechFestNW](http://techfestnw.com "TechFestNW").
