# Not so great: A 30 second review of the Intel reality show, America's Greatest Makers

Given that Intel PR reached out to me a ton of times to get me to cover their new, Survivor producer backed reality show, [America’s Greatest Makers](http://siliconflorist.com/2015/10/01/americas-greatest-maker-intel-prove-tv/ "Think you’re America’s greatest maker? Intel wants you to prove it. On TV."), I felt that it was only appropriate for me to provide a quick review of the premiere of the first episode.

So here goes. (If you click through, you’ll get more than just that tweet.)

> I can't help but think what would happen if a fraction of this production budget were invested in the startup community in Portland [\#pdx](https://twitter.com/hashtag/pdx?src=hash)

And to Umpqua’s point. Congrats. Someone (Intel) has [dethroned my ire](http://siliconflorist.com/2015/12/03/umpqua-bank-oregon-fintech-innovation/ "Come on, Umpqua Bank. I think you’re better than that. And I know for damn sure Oregon is better than that.").
