# Rethinking reselling: Portland's Rezella streamlines the whole person-to-person, buying and selling thing

It happens all of the time. As more and more people start using a service, it begins to shift away from the reasons we were attracted to the service in the first place. It’s a natural sort of entropy. But it doesn’t make it any less frustrating. But sometimes that frustration turns into inspiration. And maybe it’s just me, but here in Portland? It seems like Craigslist is often the source of that frustration and inspiration.

Take Portland startup [Switchboard](http://www.wired.com/2014/08/switchboard/ "Switchboard Is Like Craigslist Without the Creeps and Flakes"). Or [Rezella](http://www.rezella.com/ "Rezella"), a new app designed to [reduce the awkward meetings between sellers and buyers](http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/blog/techflash/2016/04/portland-startup-wants-to-take-the-awkward-meeting.html "Portland startup wants to take the awkward meeting out of Craigslist buying").

> We are a team of designers and developers from Portland, Oregon. Together, we have spent many years studying ways to improve upon the current global e-commerce systems. Through all our experiences, we kept coming back to one question: Why does person-to-person commerce have to be so complicated? In order to buy and sell in the currently available marketplaces, you have to navigate a series of obstacles. There are elaborate profiles to create, you have to expose a lot of your personal information to the public, you have to communicate with or even meet with strangers in person, and after all of that, without a lengthy history of buyer or seller ratings, you still end up at the bottom of the pile. With Rezella, we’ve bypassed the hassle to bring you a safe, anonymous, easy-to-use, person-to-person marketplace that we truly believe to be the best in its class. No complicated user profiles to fill out, no revealing personal information to strangers, just hassle-free buying and selling.

Sound like something you’d want to buy? Well you’re in luck—if you’re on iOS. The [Rezella application is currently available for download from the App Store](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rezella/id984142380?ls=1&mt=8 "Rezella in the App Store"). It’s free. And [free is a very good price](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Peterson "Tom Peterson").
