# Finding a way to Streem-line home improvement and repairs with Augmented Reality

One of the things that has defined the maturity of the Portland startup community has been a notable lack of serial founders, folks who have had the experience of building and exiting from a company who then take the opportunity to build their next company. Slowly but surely, that’s starting to change. Take, for example, Portland startup [Streem](https://www.streem.pro/ "Streem").

The new mobile Augmented Reality company is the brainchild of local — now serial — founder, [Ryan Fink](https://twitter.com/rynfnk "Ryan Fink"), whom you may recognize as the cofounder of OnTheGo Platforms, a gesture recognition platform that [raised money from Foundry Group](https://siliconflorist.com/2014/01/06/foundry-group-fg-angels-angellist-syndicate-leads-700000-seed-onthego-platforms/ "Looking like the Glass is half full: Foundry Group's FG Angels AngelList syndicate leads $700,000 seed round in OnTheGo Platforms") before being [acquired by Atheer](https://siliconflorist.com/2015/12/02/wave-hand-portlands-early-gesture-recognition-player-onthego-platforms-acquired-atheer/ "And with a wave of the hand… Portland's early gesture recognition player ONtheGO Platforms acquired by Atheer").

So what’s Streem do? Well, [according to Forbes](https://www.forbes.com/sites/charliefink/2017/10/23/this-consumer-level-ar-app-targets-a-400-billion-industry/#51e0a41b389f "This Consumer-Level AR App Targets A $400 Billion Industry"), it’s using AR to tap into a $400 billion market:

What’s more, this marks yet another foray into the world of VR/AR for Portland startups.
