# May Day always reminds me of Mayday!

It’s been almost a decade since the [launch of Mayday! Deep Space](https://siliconflorist.com/2015/01/07/pitch-black-eaten-grue-meet-mayday-deep-space/). And while yelling at “intelligent” devices to get them to set timers or tell you the weather or recite random facts seems like commonplace now, it wasn’t really that common back in 2015. Which is what made the game so interesting.

While the game is no longer available, there’s still a [promo on YouTube](https://youtu.be/s3ywlYlZYj8). A remnant of a time gone by. And perhaps, an idea before its time.
