Whether you have a well-formed opinion or you’re simply curious, there’s [an opportunity to engage with the City of Portland and their proposed use of AI](https://arcg.is/1HLCSP), this Thursday. The hybrid event takes place at the Portland Building and online at 5:00PM on May 16, 2024.

> This is a public call to all Portlanders interested in using artificial intelligence responsibly and exploring alternatives to reduce its harm and negative impacts. At the same time, promote social, economic, and technological opportunities that benefit all Portlanders.

> We expect a diverse set of ideas and perspectives. This diversity also implies power differences, as some attendees may be joining with technical expertise, and others could have experienced trauma, discrimination, and social or economic burdens.

> Our intention is to create a space for conversation, crosspollination, learning, and understanding about technology. We all can contribute to making these dialogs an opportunity for all to contribute to support and enrich each other’s ideas.
