# A different kind of innovation

Slightly off topic. But honestly, not really. Because skating has had such a long history in Portland — from [Cal’s](https://www.instagram.com/calsk8/) to [Burnside Skate Park](https://www.instagram.com/explore/search/keyword/?q=burnside%20skate%20park). And it’s a sport that’s constantly innovating. Psyched to hear that this is coming to Portland in August.
