# In Q2, three of the biggest VC deals in the Pacific Northwest were with Portland startups

I know I wrote about these funding rounds — [Boulder Care](https://siliconflorist.com/2024/05/22/portland-startup-boulder-care-raises-35m-series-c/), [Hydrolix](https://siliconflorist.com/2023/06/05/portland-startup-hydrolix-raises-20m/), and [Reperio Health](https://siliconflorist.com/2024/04/19/reperio-health-has-a-healthy-raise-especially-in-an-anemic-economy/) — when the news broke, but I thought this additional context might be interesting… Those three rounds were among the [largest Pacific Northwest venture capital rounds for the second quarter of 2024](https://www.geekwire.com/2024/whos-raising-the-top-funding-deals-for-pacific-northwest-startups-in-q2/).

> Total venture capital raised in Q2 came in at $382 million across 34 deals, according to [GeekWire’s funding tracker](https://www.geekwire.com/fundings/). That dollar value is just below the previous quarter; down nearly 50% from the year-ago period; and not even in the same hemisphere as the second quarter of 2022, when 63 companies raised a collective $2.1 billion.

For more context — and the other startups that ranked on that list — visit [GeekWire](https://www.geekwire.com/2024/whos-raising-the-top-funding-deals-for-pacific-northwest-startups-in-q2/).
