# Startup questions are rolling in. Time to get some answers rolling out.

As I mentioned last week, [I’m trying a new experiment](https://siliconflorist.com/2024/08/27/got-startup-questions-lets-get-them-answered/). The gist is this: If it’s difficult to ask startup questions in public, maybe folks should have a[ way to ask them anonymously](https://airtable.com/appioslcbWCjXHNtT/paghqVr9Y3c3ouEfn/form). And I’m happy to report that the questions are starting to roll — or maybe trickle — in. But they deserve answers. So let’s do that.

Here’s the question (sanitized to maintain anonymity):

> I miss engaging with the Portland startup community. I’m slowly, and I mean very slowly, starting to get events and attend them on my calendar. However, I feel like I’m living vicariously through what I read… Is there a group of folks out there that are trying to break the lock on our day jobs have on our energy and creativity? Is anyone willing to be my accountability buddy?

Here’s my response. Have thoughts? Disagree? Feel free to respond in the comments on YouTube and let’s make sure that this question gets a well-rounded and more-informed answer.
