And then there were 4: UpStart Collective reveals 2025 expansion plans

A championship belt wasn’t the only thing being given away last night at Demolicious, last night. UpStart Collective, the home and primary sponsor of Demolicious, also shared some news about their planned expansion in 2025. And it’s got a bit of collegiate bent.

You already knew about UpStart’s partnership with Portland State University and that they’re moving into a new building in 2025. But did you know that UpStart has been working to develop similar partnerships with Oregon State University and the University of Oregon…?

It’s true.

In 2025, UpStart has plans to expand to both Eugene and the OSU Cascades campus in Bend. The existing locations they’re looking to activate as UpStart spaces are:

  • OSU Cascades Innovation Co-Lab: “The Innovation Co-Lab is a department of Oregon State University – Cascades that works with innovators, creators, founders, and managers in the community as well as the university to grow businesses or non-profits.”
  • Innovation Hub at 942 Olive: “The Innovation Hub at 942 Olive is a unique partnership between local governments, higher education institutions, and the Eugene-Springfield entrepreneurial community to create a seamless environment where startup companies can flourish. We leverage local innovation resources to clear the path to startup success.”

With these two new spaces and the new PSU space complementing the original UpStart Collective space in the Central Eastside, this expansion will provide a much broader range of options for Oregon entrepreneurs to cowork and collaborate. All while creating a network of UpStart folks through the state.
