# Founder Café: founder.coffee expands to Barcelona

Sometimes, Portland has challenges importing other event formats for our community. But apparently, we don’t have that same issue with exporting them. founder.coffee — which began as Coffee w/ Co-Founders — had expanded to Bend in 2024. Now, it’s jumping the pond. Mark Grimes shared more about the expansion on the [Portland Startups Slack](https://pdxslack.com).

> So Portland based founder.coffee started at Coffee w/ Co-Founders nearly a decade ago and became founder.coffee a few years ago. Last year, @fitlandia opened up a great chapter in Bend and the founder.coffee as part of Bend Venture Conference had oodles of founders and entrepreneurs in attendance (and @fitlandia, @josh, & myself were all there in one room at the same time, which was cool)
