# Update: Portland startup community kickoff is sold out

“Maybe it would interesting to throw a little networking event to kickoff the year,” I thought. “We could probably get a few folks to show up.” Welp. We’ve officially hit capacity for the [2025 Kickoff event for the Portland startup community](https://www.meetup.com/pie-portland-startup-community/events/304781723/) on January 14, 2025. This means two things…

1. If you’re interested in attending the event, **please add your name to the waitlist**. If folks drop, you’ll be added to the attendee list. Also, we’ll be doing a lot more of this sort of thing throughout the year, and we want to make sure you’re the first to know. Joining the [PIE + Portland startup community Meetup group](https://www.meetup.com/pie-portland-startup-community/) will ensure that you get those announcements.
2. If you already RSVP’d but your plans have changed or you’d rather not attend, would you kindly **take a moment to update your status**, please…? That way, folks on the waitlist will be added to the attendee list.

Looking forward to seeing folks on Tuesday. And rest assured, we’re already working on a number of other Portland startup community events — large and small — for 2025. You also might want to save April 8, 2025, on your calendar. (Just sayin’)
