# Please consider showing up for the Show Up for Small Business in St. Johns

Well, I tried to lobby for an alphabetical roll out, but that didn’t work. So instead of a place starting with a “B,” the next [Show Up for Small Business will be taking place in St. Johns](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/show-up-for-small-business-st-johns-tickets-1400079398169). The premise…? Simple. The [Portland Office of Small Business](https://pdxofficeofsmallbusiness.com/) picks the spot. You show up and support the business.

> This month we will be heading to St. Johns and meeting at the [Mosaic Taphouse](https://mosaictaps.com/) at 5PM on June 24th (7955 N Lombard St). From there, we invite folks to wander and grab food, drinks, or goods from all the great businesses in the area like [Banh Mi Up](https://www.banhmiuppdx.com/), [Kung Food Restaurant](https://www.kungfoodonline.com/), [Leisure Public House](https://www.leisurepublichouse.com/), and many more in downtown St. Johns.

> Going forward, we’ll choose a different neighborhood or business district every month. Then, it’s up to you to show up and do your part by shopping, grabbing a beverage, or dining at the small businesses in that area. No agenda. No speeches. Just all of us celebrating the amazing small businesses that make Portland unique.

The event is free to attend. But you should plan to purchase something from the small businesses you encounter. Because that’s kind of the point of this whole thing.
