# Claude Code at the capital: Claude Social Night at Venti’s in Salem, Oregon

Why should Portland have all of the AI hackathony and gathering fun around Claude…? It shouldn’t. That’s why it’s nice to see Salem, Oregon, entering the game with [Claude Social Night](https://luma.com/vjszyf5b). (On the downside, it’s the same exact night as the [TAO AI Sandbox event](https://siliconflorist.com/2026/04/14/its-raining-pitch-competitions-tao-ai-startup-innovation-sandbox/), April 22, 2026. But alas, such is life. (And isn’t it nice to see competing AI events…?))
