# Your AI agent can now talk to your expense data with the new Expensify MCP

Now, connecting Expensify to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, OpenClaw, and any other MCP-compatible client you happen to be using is easy. [All thanks to the new Expensify MCP](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260608727624/en/Expensify-Launches-MCP-for-AI-powered-Expense-Management). No CSV exports. No custom scripts. Just ask your AI agent what you spent on travel last month — or which expense reports are waiting for your approval — and get a real-time answer from your actual Expensify account.

> The Expensify MCP gives customers a standardized way to connect AI agents to their expense data without CSV exports, custom scripts, or manual integrations. Members can ask questions like “What did I spend on travel last month?” or “Which expense reports need my approval?” from their preferred AI client and get real-time answers from their Expensify account.

“As software shifts from menus and forms toward conversational interfaces, businesses will expect every product to work seamlessly with AI agents,” said David Barrett, founder and CEO of Expensify. “MCP is quickly becoming the standard for how AI systems interact with external services, and we want Expensify to be accessible wherever our customers are working.”

The setup lives at expensify.com/mcp and is open to any validated Expensify account holder. If you’re already running Expensify and you’re already working in an AI client, the distance between those two worlds just got a lot shorter.
