So that happened: Six new startups debut at PIE Demo Day Fall 2012

[Full disclosure: I work for PIE.] Last Friday, as promised, six new startups emerged from PIE—the startup accelerator cosponsored by Wieden+Kennedy—to take the stage at the Armory to share the stories of the companies they had built during the program.

The latest PIE class spanned a variety of business models and target markets, from consumer facing to nonprofit and from media companies to traditional tech.

Coverage

There was a fair amount of coverage for the day. With Little Bird leading the pack. The coverage for the startup led by Marshall Kirkpatrick spanned tech, industry, and mainstream media with coverage from the tech blogs, Adweek, Wall Street Journal, The Oregonian, and more.

TechCrunch covered three of the startups: Little Bird, Lytics, and AppThwack.

Digital Trends has a great write up on the entire event. As does PIE cofounder Renny Gleeson.

Folks also did a fair amount of tweeting about #piedemo.

If you want to see the full event—including the founder profiles from Portland startup Vizify—you can watch the entire thing on Livestream, with PIE Demo Day part 1 and part 2.

Next class of PIE
