While it’s not yet there, Portland is getting ridiculously close to having—like brewpubs—more tech startup accelerators per capita than anyone else. The latest addition? TiE Oregon is expanding its accelerator program to the Pearl, partnering with ISITE Design to open TiE Pearl.
The new accelerator will be cohoused—and cohosted—within ISITE, enabling companies to benefit from ISITE talent as well as TiE mentors from around the world.
(Pro tip: Watching the video will explain the gondola.)
The space has been designed to function the way startups work. Tenants have access to a shared kitchen and Community Meeting Room, as well as regularly-scheduled programming and meetups on various topics in the digital realm. TiE Pearl also offers your startup access to the expertise of the ISITE team.
From User Experience consulting to mobile development, the ISITE team is available to engage to help you tackle the key experience design elements that can help your business get the recognition and support you need.
Sound interesting? Well you’re in luck. TiE Pearl will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, May 29, at 6PM.

Portland, Oregon: Startup Accelerator Town USA
When Portland does something, we tend to do it droves. Brewpubs, coffeeshops, food carts, bikes, strip clubs… the list goes on an on. So why would startup accelerators be any different?
TiE Pearl brings the grand total of startup accelerators in the Portland area to 11, joining:
- Amplify
- Cambia Health Solutions
- Nike+ Accelerator
- OTBC
- PIE
- Portland Seed Fund
- Portland State Business Accelerator
- Portland TenX
- TiE Westside Incubator
- Upstart Labs
And that’s just tech startups. We’re not even counting things like Startup PDX: Challenge, the KitchenCru culinary accelerator, FreeRange PDX, ADX, and the like.
For more info on the newest accelerator, visit TiE Pearl. Or RSVP to attend the open house on Wednesday evening.
