Interested in taking Center Stage…? Pitch Black Showcase could be for you

If you’re a Black founder in the Portland area, you’ve no doubt heard of Pitch Black, an annual pitch event that features Black founders building tech companies, consumer products, and more. Well, this year, it’s taking a big step up to fill the house at Portland Center Stage — and you could be part of it.

If you’ve got the vision, the hustle, and the passion, we’ve got the platform. Stand in front of packed house, share your story, and prove why your idea is brilliant. This isn’t about impressing a panel of judges—it’s about connecting with the crowd, inspiring action, and securing the support you need to take your business to the next level.

There’s only one catch: Applications are due July 7, 2025.

So if you’re a Black founder with a story to tell — whether you’re in the Portland area or you simply think folks in Portland need to hear about it — you should get your application in. Like today. Or at least this weekend.

Best of all…? Typical “pitch competition” rules don’t apply. Everyone who takes the stage will receive a cash prize. Just for taking the time and having the courage to tell their story in front of 600 people.

More interested in attending (since all ticket sales go to the participants)? Totally get it. Tickets go on sale soon, starting at $45. The event takes place August 21, 2025.
