Any number of you—well, and me included—started blogging without really thinking where it would lead. We simply wanted to write about something about which we were passionate. But as experience and knowledge of your subject area continues to grow, you start thinking “Maybe there’s something here. Maybe I could do this full time.” And that’s when you start thinking about going pro.
But if you want to go pro, where do you start? Well, a new gathering of Portland bloggers is hoping to help you answer that question, Portland Pro Bloggers. And tonight, they’re joined by J.D. Roth of Get Rich Slowly.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, Get Rich Slowly is easily one of the most popular blogs that happens to call Portland home. It boasts nearly 72,000 RSS subscribers and an active community that focuses on the issues surrounding personal finance.
Billed as “a group of serious bloggers,” the group will focus tonight’s discussion on traffic and content generation. The gathering will be held at Harry’s Fresh Deli & Pizzeria beginning at 7 PM.
