It’s beginning to border on a tradition now. For the past three years—in conjunction with TechFestNW—the folks at CrowdCompass have helped organize a progressive party among the Portland tech startup scene. They call it TechCrawl. And it’s time for the 2014 version.
The event will begin Thursday, August 14, with a kickoff presentation at Block 300, the future home of Puppet Labs and CrowdCompass. Festivities start around 5:15PM. After imparting some logistics and a few other details, folks will be released to visit any number of tech companies around town until 8:00PM when attendees reconvene at OnDeck Sports Bar for the after party sponsored by our friends at GeekWire.
Wait what? Seeing a bunch of awesome startups isn’t enough entertainment for you? Fine. Attendees will also be registered for the chance to win a pass to TechFestNW, access to MusicFestNW, tickets to the GeekWire Summit, and maybe just maybe an Apple iPad.
I know, right?
Plus you get to see a lot of awesome Portland startups. Like who? Well, like a bunch of Portland startups. Who haven’t been announced yet. Although word around the campfire is that our own Portland Startups Switchboard might be a stop on the tour.
Hey. Whoa whoa whoa. Of course you can participate as host. Settle down. You want to be part of the crawl? No worries. There’s still time. Just contact Lauren@CrowdCompass.com and she’ll add your company to the list. (Please throw your proverbial hat in the ring before Friday, August 8.)
