The dynamics of the accelerator scene here in Portland have changed a bit over the past year or so. With a lot of the hoopla giving way to more metered and quiet activity. No big announcements. No splashy Demo Days. But gosh darn it, I miss the hoopla. So it’s nice to see Portland’s Jaguar Land Rover Incubator making some noise about its inaugural class of startups.
And where better for hoopla than Las Vegas and CES? That’s right. Nowhere.
The following companies will be housed in the JLR Incubator’s northwest Portland office for the next six months. While there, they’ll be taking advantage of the capital, space, and engineering resources from JLR—and mentorship from the entire startup community.
So who was selected? Let’s take a look.
First of the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Incubator companies has been announced: BabyBit! Portland native startup focused on connected wearables.
