A Portland startup just won the People's Choice Award at the 1776 Challenge Cup Global finals

Nothing like ending the week on a good note. Portland startup NoAppFee, an alum of the Startup PDX Challenge incubator, and winner of the 1776 Challenge Cup Local: Portland and 1776 Challenge Cup Regional: San Francisco competitions has just walked off stage as the winner of the People’s Choice for the 1776 Challenge Cup Global event.

The prize comes with a $10,000 prize in addition to the $10,000 NoAppFee garnered as a semifinalist.

“What this week showed is that visionary founders can now build amazing startups that tackle hard, important problems — from anywhere in the world,” said Donna Harris, Cofounder & Co-CEO of 1776. “Our eight global finalists came here from Bangalore, Belo Horizonte, Boulder, Dubai, Islamabad, Portland, Singapore and Tel Aviv.”
