It must be accelerator season. We just learned about the new class of the Latino Founders Accelerator. And now, we’ve got a whole new crop of interesting consumer products companies beginning their cohort in the Built Oregon Accelerator. So who made the cohort? Let’s take a look.

“This accelerator is distinct from others in that it’s very human-centric,” Built board member Karmen Olson told the Portland Business Journal. “We put the people at the front of the problems we are trying to solve. The goal of the program is to support the people behind the businesses,”
The program begins today and will last until the rush of the holiday season — but it never really ends, Built Oregon cofounder and director, Mitch Daugherty shared. “We always say it never ends. Four months in consumer products is a blip.”
I can confirm that Built often gets the chance to support folks from every Built mentorship cohort on a regular basis. Which is how the program was designed from the beginning — for the long haul, in support of Oregon consumer product company founders. Helping whenever and wherever we can.
