Your NFL fantasy league game play just got even more fantastic

Sure sure. You can go old school and analyze players. Or go by your gut. But if you want the latest and greatest technology supporting your decisions for fantasy football or the latest office pool. Well, then you want Field Vision.

As GeekWire shares:

Just in time for the start of another NFL season, a new startup out of Portland, Ore., is using artificial intelligence to help football fans make more informed bets on games.

Field Vision officially launched its new football analytics app Tuesday with the goal of providing the most accurate game and player-specific predictions and analysis.

CEO and co-founder Scott Bouska is a former Nike executive and NFL agent who was looking for the right time to combine his sports knowledge with his desire to create a startup. He teamed up with co-founder and chief data scientist Cameron Taylor, a Stanford PhD who spent time at Instacart and is now at Netflix.

Oh. Yeah. You can use it for good old fashioned sports betting too. So with Field Vision in hand, you might be motivated to forgo the nickel and drop a dime on that next matchup.

In 2023, Americans wagered a record $119.84 billion on sports betting, up 27.5% from the previous year (source: American Gaming Association).  While spend continues to increase, the majority of fan performance on bets continues to get worse, with the Sportsbook percentage hold growing every year since 2018.  As consumers attempt to make informed betting decisions, they are often paralyzed by the sheer volume of game and player analysis available to them, with conflicting insights and inaccuracies adding to the confusion of who to trust as their go-to source on game day.
