These days, the Pendleton Roundup isn’t the only major event taking place in northeast Oregon in September. And that’s all thanks to the Oregon Unmanned Aerial Systems Accelerator (UAS) which launched its first competitive demo day as a predecessor to the classic rodeo event.
Companies pitching included:
- Advanced Drone: Specializing in agricultural UAS operations for herbicide application
- Aerial Industries Ltd Singapore: Developing scalable autonomous UAS for agriculture and delivery.
- Cyphra Autonomy: Pioneering voice control solutions for autonomous vehicles
- Phenix Solutions: Veteran-owned company focused on heavy-lift UAS for cargo transport and firefighting
- Rangair: Innovating airborne broadband solutions for public safety
- Zepher Flight Labs (Judge’s Overall Winner): Manufactures the Z-SCAN system, enhancing drone safety by providing real-time identification of drones and operators
- Zing Drone Solutions (People’s Choice Award Winner): Enhancing safety and compliance in drone operations
“Wow! What an event,” said Joseph Wyno, Executive Director of the Oregon UAS Accelerator. “The success of this event marks the beginning of the most impactful investor event in Eastern Oregon. See you same time, same place next year. If you are an investor and interested in attending next year, please let me know and we will make this happen. Let’er Buck!”
