Just a quick reminder that a few of us are going to get together tomorrow (Friday, September 20, 2024) around happy hour to have a little Beer and Blog reunion. Because WordCamp US is in town. And some of those folks will be swinging by too. But here’s the best part: You’re invited. So you should come hang out. It’s Friday. It’s the end of the work week. And it’s supposed to be okay weatherwise.
Back in the before times — when blogging was far more prevalent — the Portland startup community used to gather every Friday afternoon under the pretense of discussing blogging and often WordPress. When it was really just an excuse to see one another. And welcome both new transplants and visitors alike to Portland.
Every Friday, Beer and Blog was the best place to meet and chat with the Portland tech community — as a community — whether you happened to blog or not.
And again, I’d like to reinforce that you don’t have to blog to show up. Or drink. This is just a weird name holdover from its origin way back in the day.
