I got so excited about my time down at Bend Venture Conference this year, that I had to quickly tell you about BVC while I was still there. And then I actually shared more about prevailing themes once I got back. But I never posted about the winners. (You’d think after 17+ years of doing this, I’d be better at it. But no.) So who actually won at Bend Venture Conference 2024…?
- The “early stage” winners were Prophetic and Rose City Robotics (crowd favorite), both from Portland — and both, coincidentally, UpStart Collective residents
- The “new economy” winners were Home Lending Pal and Hardcore Peanut Butter Co., of Orlando and Minneapolis, respectively
- The “growth stage” winners were ProMedix and Health Elements AI, of Portland and Bend, respectively
According to the Portland Business Journal:
A total of $500,000 was awarded across four companies at the Bend Venture Conference this year in the Growth Stage and New Economy Track competitions. Two early-stage companies were highlighted, but no investment was handed out.
