Portland always does an incredible job of focusing on very specific aspects of the community. That’s why we always seem to have a strong “user group” level sort of event vibe. So I was incredibly happy to see this upcoming event to be added to that list — and even happier that they pinged me about it: WiCyS Oregon & VanderHouwen Staffing Present: A Stoplight Networking Event.
Here’s how it works: When you arrive you will pick a name tag with a color – each color represents your current status
🔴 Red: “Stop!” – I am here to mentor or share job leads with participants
🟡 Yellow: “In the middle!” – I am here for general networking and meaningful connections – but I already have a job I am happy with
🟢 Green: “Go!” – I am here for new opportunities or mentorship and networking
This unique format makes it easy to share your career goals while fostering connections in a fun and inclusive atmosphere!
The event takes place Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Co-Working PDX in Fox Tower starting at 5:00PM. It is free to attend.
