Pitch Black glowup: New identity system, new website, and a new podcast

Last week, you heard — or maybe experienced — a brand new offering from Pitch Black, Pitch Black Food, where the dessert round team, Let ’em Cook walked away with the win. But that wasn’t the only new thing for Pitch Black in February. They launched a new identity system, the got a whole new website and URL, and they launched their podcast, as well. Plus, they added a space between “Pitch” and “Black.”

Since its inception, Pitch Black has been about one thing: shining a light on Black brilliance. What started as a stage for Black entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas has grown into a movement—one that goes beyond a single event. Today, we’re launching the next evolution of Pitch Black: a new brand, a new website, and a bigger vision for the future.

Led by Stephen Green and Jelani Memory, this new Pitch Black is about more than just a competition. It’s about building a platform that elevates Black ideas, businesses, and culture—through events, products, and moments that celebrate the power of Black innovation.
