Critical Security Vulnerability in React Server Components – React

On November 29th, Lachlan Davidson reported a security vulnerability in React that allows unauthenticated remote code execution by exploiting a flaw in how React decodes payloads sent to React Server Function endpoints. Even if your app does not implement any React Server Function endpoints it may still be vulnerable if your app supports React Server Components.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (December 4, 1995) — Netscape Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: NSCP) and Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUNW), today announced JavaScript, an open, cross-platform object scripting language for the creation and customization of applications on enterprise networks and the Internet. The JavaScript language complements Java, Sun’s industry-leading object-oriented, cross-platform programming language. The initial version of JavaScript is available now as part of the beta version of Netscape Navigator 2.0, which is currently available for downloading from Netscape’s web site.

Oregon battery storage startup ZincFive raises $30 million – Portland Business Journal

The new funding brings the company’s total fundraising to $254 million since its founding in 2016, it said in a news release. ZincFive backers have been clean energy investors Helios Climate Ventures, Climate Investment, Japan Energy Fund, General Ventures, and Clear Creek Investments and others, it said.
