It’s always a good sign when out of town VCs swing by Portland. That’s why I was happy to see that Andrew Chan, founder and managing partner of Atas VC, is bringing “The Road Show” to Portland on Friday, October 23, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM PT. You can request to join. But you can’t just show up.
As part of “The Road Show,” a year-long series where I’m hosting a venture capital event in every state in the US, I’m coming to Portland for coffee, donuts, and a conversation with local founders, investors, and operators. Join me on October 23 at 9:00 AM PT. The venue is TBD; the meeting spot will be shared privately with confirmed guests. Attendance is by approval only; the venue and meetup instructions will be shared privately with confirmed guests. Please do not come unless your registration has been approved.
Atas VC is an early stage firm investing in pre seed companies, with a focus on energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and what it calls “American Necessities.” As Chan puts it on the event page, “My core belief is that great founders can come from any background; often, the founders best suited to solve problems in core American industries like agriculture, energy, or manufacturing won’t be located in Silicon Valley.”
