REMINDER: Gorge PitchFest 2026 applications are due April 17, 2026

You know what I love about the Oregon Regional Innovation Hub network? It’s a constant reminder that the Oregon startup ecosystem extends around the entire state. North, South, East, West. Case in point: Gorge PitchFest is back for 2026 — and the Mid-Columbia Innovation Hub is taking applications.

If you’ve got a business idea, a growing venture, or even just a prototype you believe in, this is your stage. Gorge PitchFest is a high-energy, community-driven event where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to a live audience and a panel of judges for a chance to win cash prizes, gain visibility, and make valuable connections.

Five finalists will pitch on May 28, 2026, at the Granada Theatre in The Dalles. Grand prize is $10,000. All finalists receive cash awards. (I got to be a judge, last year. It’s a great event.)

And here’s what I appreciate about this one: it’s not just for people with polished decks and wacky new technology. “First-time founders, side-hustlers with momentum, small businesses ready to grow” — they’re all welcome. You just need a clear vision and the willingness to show up.

A campsite in Antelope won last year. That’s refreshing.

Applications are due April 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM. Finalists will be announced May 1, 2026. Apply at the Gorge PitchFest application page. A Spanish language application is also available. And if you know someone building something out in the Gorge, send this their way. Even if they’re on the Washington side.

(Gorge PitchFest is also listed on PitchMap PNW — a community-maintained directory of pitch competitions across Oregon and Washington. Worth bookmarking.)
