As you have unfortunately encountered — and probably tried to forget — Silicon Florist now also includes a YouTube channel that features weekly recaps of the startup news from the week. (It also comes in podcast flavors, but this is specifically about the YouTube channel.) Every week, I try to provide you with a cringeworthy few minutes of entertainment. But I can’t help but think that there could be something more. And less of me.
Last week, on a whim, I had a little impromptu watch party on Friday evening. A few folks were kind enough to show up. And hang out with me in the chat. And it really struck a chord for me. And hopefully for the folks who participated.
It felt like… I don’t know… community…?
Anyway, I’m going to try it again this week. So if you’re bored on Friday evening and are looking to spend a few minutes hanging out virtually with other folks from the Portland startup community, maybe consider joining us. (You don’t have to participate. You can just lurk.)
