Trying to maximize local exposure for Minimus

Technically, it’s not headquartered here. But Minimus — which boasts a bunch of Twistlock alums — has a Portland presence which includes Brian Lake, the COO of the startup. So it made sense for me to start tracking on them.

So what does Minimus do, exactly…?

Minimus is a repository of lightweight images designed to drastically reduce your attack surface. Minimus reduces vulnerabilities by trimming out software bloat and publishing patched versions of the fixed package upstream release as soon as possible.

Minimus builds its images from scratch, directly from upstream project sources, with only the minimal software needed to run the app. As a result, many Minimus images have 0 vulnerabilities at their time of release and accumulate fewer vulnerabilities at a slower rate compared to comparable standard images, all helping to reduce your attack surface over time.

From a LinkedIn scan, it looks like there are less than 10 folks here. But given that’s a larger than a lot of startups, these days. I’m going to keep tracking on them.
