It was August 2009. I had just wrapped up an episode of Strange Love Live celebrating the second birthday of this here blog. I think I was still even sitting on that now iconic couch when Dr. Normal piped up.
“You should do a podcast,” he said.
“I tried,” I replied. “It sucked.”
“No, you should do a podcast from here,” he said. “And here’s the catch: Cami Kaos will be your co-host.”
I think at that point I may have sat there in stunned silence for a while. Before meekishly mumbling, “Okay?”
And so memePDX was born.
And every Thursday since then? You’ve had a new episode to watch. Now, we’re about 18 episodes into it. And still going strong. Even after livestreaming for 30 straight hours together.
I’m not getting to get all mushy. But honestly? I love this podcast. It’s only 20 minutes—even though it takes a lot longer than that to produce it—but I have to say that I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve done. And I couldn’t be more honored that Cami Kaos and Dr. Normal take the time each week to help pull it together.
So we chopped up a little highlight reel to celebrate the end of the year.
Enjoy! We’ll see you in 2010. Like first thing. On Strange Love Live on January 1, 2010. If you’re going to watch one podcast in 2010, I’d recommend that one.
