WebVisions Hosting Lunch 2.0 on April 14

Did you know WebVisions is celebrating its 10th year this year?

I wonder what the sessions were in 2000, maybe “Looking ahead to Internet Explorer 6”? We’ve come a long way since then, and Brad Smith (@webvisions) and his great team have continued to produce a great conference, mixing design with technology and trends.

Anyway, WebVisions will be hosting Lunch 2.0 on April 14, about a month before the conference, which is May 19-21 at the Oregon Convention Center.

If you’re not familiar with WebVisions, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about a gem of a conference held in our backyard firectly from the organizers and past attendees.

If you are familiar with WebVisions, this will be a chance to get a sneak peak at what’s happening this year.

Have you seen the speaker lineup? It’s jam-packed with local and international talent, assembling to talk about the future of the web and mobile design, business strategy and user experience.

Plus, I hear there are interesting plans for the trade show area, which will again include the crew from Strange Love Live, who will be interviewing anyone and everyone they can find.

Oh, and Silicon Florist is a sponsor so the turoczybot commands that you attend.

You don’t have to be registered for the conference to come to the lunch, but if you’re planning to attend WebVisions, you should hurry up and register because the early bird deadline is March 31.

In addition to the conference sessions, there is a full day of hands-on workshops on May 19 that warrant a close look. There are some great opportunities there.

This will be the second Lunch 2.0 hosted by WebVisions, but unlike last year, it won’t be at the convention center. It’s going to be a the offices of Hot Pepper Studios and Bullseye Disc in Southeast around 33 and Division.

Here’s the skinny:

Big thanks to all the hosts who have hosted or plan to host Lunch 2.0. As with the majority of the tech events in Portland, sponsors make them happen. So, we humbly thank you.
