One night only! The fabulous Portland Foursquare Day, Whiffies pies, and Strange Love Live swarm

For one night only, Portland, you’ll have the opportunity to secure a new Foursquare badge for Foursquare Day, feast on some tasty Whiffies pies, and be part of the live studio audience for Portland’s premier tech podcast, Strange Love Live.

How, praytell, do you partake in this once in a lifetime opportunity? Just show up at Whiffies around 10 PM tonight, April 16.

In case you haven’t heard, it’s Foursquare Day. You know, four sixteen. Four squared. Get it? Huh? Huh? Tap tap tap. Is this thing on?

Anyway, to celebrate folks are planning a bunch of Foursquare events in Portland. And one of them just happens to be at one of Portland’s favorite foodcarts, Whiffies, from 10 PM until 1 AM or so. Meaning they’ll be tons and tons of geeky people descending upon Cartopia.

What’s so great about that? Well you’ll get one new Foursquare badge—the official Foursquare Day badge—for sure. And if enough people show up, rumor has it you may also get a Super Swarm badge to boot.

Even better? If you check in at Whiffies tonight at the appointed time, you’ll be entered to win a pie a day for year. Yes, you heard me right. A whole bunch of Whiffies pies. Just for checking in. How hard can that be? Even if you don’t win, you’ll still likely get a buck off your pie.

You see, the folks at Strange Love Live are huge fans of Foursquare. And Cami Kaos and Dr. Normal have been known to consume a Whiffies pie or two. So what’s better than Foursquare and Whiffies, you ask? That’s right. A live remote from Whiffies in honor of Foursquare Day.

What’s more, they’ve secured Daryl Lee Thompson—who played an incredible set during 30 Hour Day—to play a set. So you’ll get some great talk, some phenomenal music, and some tasty pie.

Holy carp. You’ve been living right.

So don’t just sit there. Or do sit there. Until 10 PM at least. And then haul your soon-to-be engorged-with-pie booty over to Whiffies for Strange Love Live… um Live. Some pie. And a Foursquare badge or two.
